Liebe Freunde, liebe Freundinnen, liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen!
Wir suchen für aNOther festival am 6. und 7. Oktober 2023 im Klangtheater des Future Art Lab der mdw – Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien künstlerische/musikalische Beiträge zum Motto "Künstl(er)i(s)che Intelligenz?", die bewusst disziplinen- bzw. genreübergreifend konzipiert sind.
Zum Motto:
Was könnte man unter künstlerischer Intelligenz verstehen? Inwiefern ist Kunst intelligent? Inwiefern steht sie im Gegensatz zur künstlichen Intelligenz? Inwieweit ist Kunst notwendigerweise immer künstlich? Wann ist künstlerisch ein Gegensatz zu natürlich? Wann nicht? Wie nicht? Was für künstlerische Ansätze ergeben sich angesichts der globalen menscheninduzierten Klimakrise daraus, wenn man Natur/Kultur als Einheit oder einander bedingende Bereiche betrachtet?
Alle Beiträge sollten genreübergreifend musikalisch sein oder Musik mit anderen Disziplinen kombinieren, beispielsweise:
Musik unterschiedlichster Genres, idealerweise eher aus dem nicht rein kommerziell orientierten Bereich, (wie z.B. Neue Komposition, Improvisation, world music, fusion, Singer-Songwriter etc.)
Performance / Installationen / Konzeptkunst
Lecture-Performance / Wissenschaftsvermittlung in künstlerischer Form
Wir interessieren uns für transdisziplinäre Zugänge und würden uns besonders über Projektvorschläge freuen, die NICHT schon bei anderen Veranstaltern in der vorgelegten Form präsentiert wurden.
Die Beiträge sollen zwischen 15 und 40 Minuten dauern. Auf der Basis der Einreichungen werden wir die ausgewählten Künster_innen kontaktieren, und sowohl zeitlich als auch bez. der KünstlerInnen-Honorare ein Angebot machen.
Eine Tonanlage (ca. 20 Lautsprecher kuppelförmig angeordnet aber auch für Stereo/Surround etc. verwendbar, Digitalmischpult, Mikrophone) und ein Videoprojektor sind vorhanden. Darüber hinaus gehende technische bzw. Material-Erfordernisse müssen mit dem Gesamtbetrag der Honorare abgedeckt sein.

· wenn möglich: Links zu Videos, Tonbeispielen etc. zur Illustration der Projektidee
· Liste der technischen Erfordernisse (technical rider) · Kontaktdaten (Email, Telefon, Website)
· Falls nötig: terminliche Einschränkungen (6.10. oder 7.10.2023)

Dear friends, dear colleagues!
We are looking for artistic / musical contributions to the motto "artisti(fi)c(ial) intelligence?" for aNOther festival on October 6 and 7, 2023 in the Klangtheater of the Future Art Lab of the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, which are deliberately conceived across disciplines or genres.
About the motto:
What could be understood as artistic intelligence? In what sense is art intelligent? How does it stand in contrast to artificial intelligence? To what extent is art necessarily always artificial? When is artistic antithetical to natural? When is it not? How not? In view of the global human-induced climate crisis, what kind of artistic approaches result from regarding nature/culture as a unity or mutually interdependent fields?
All contributions should be musically diverse or combine music with other disciplines, for example:
Music from a wide variety of genres, ideally more from the non-purely commercial-oriented field, (such as new composition, improvisation, world music, fusion, singer-songwriter, etc.).
performance / installations / conceptual art
lecture-performance / science mediation in artistic form
We are interested in transdisciplinary approaches and would especially welcome project proposals that have NOT already been presented by other institutions in the submitted form.
Submissions should be between 15 and 40 minutes in length. Based on the submissions, we will contact the selected artists and make an offer regarding both time and artist fees.
A sound system (approx. 20 loudspeakers arranged in a dome shape but also usable for stereo/surround etc., digital mixer, microphones) and a video projector are available. Any additional technical or material requirements must be covered by the total amount of fees.
