Call For Scores – An Elemental Thing
In Kooperation mit der IGNM-Sektion Österreich
An Elemental Thing lautet der Titel des neuen Soloprojekts des Schlagwerkers Manuel Alcaraz Clemente – inspiriert vom Werk An Elemental Thing Liza Lims für Solo-Woodblock.
Das Projekt wird auf einer Bühne vor einfacher, klarer Kulisse gespielt und enthält Stücke, die alle einer ähnlichen Linie folgen: Die brilliante kompositorische und musikalische Erforschung eines einzelnen Klangkörpers
Die Stücke müssen für Solo Schlagwerk geschrieben sein (inklusive aller möglichen Objekte) und müssen verschiedene klangliche und performative Möglichkeiten des einzelnen Klangkörpers explorieren.
Das Programm ist darauf ausgerichtet einfach aufgebaut und transportiert zu werden, da es für mehrere Aufführungen bestimmt ist. Deshalb sind große, unhandliche Instrumente/Objekte prinzipiell ausgeschlossen.
Die Stücke werden 2021 und 2022 in Graz und Wien aufgeführt.

Call For Scores – An Elemental Thing In cooperation with the ISCM–Austrian Section
An Elemental Thing is a title of the new solo project by percussionist Manuel Alcaraz Clemente.
The project is inspired by the piece An Elemental Thing for solo woodblock, composed by Liza Lim and proposes a clean, lucid and intelligible setting on stage, containing pieces that follow a similar line: the brilliant compositional and musical exploration of a single body.
The pieces must be written for solo percussion (including any possible objects) and need to explore the different acoustic and performative possibilities of a single body.
The program is intended to be easily moved and to be performed several times, that is why in principle, big instruments are excluded.
The pieces will be performed in Graz and Vienna in 2021 and 2022.
